we had dinner on saturday night at tak fuk bandar puteri puchong branch. crowded as usual, thanks to my punctual friends, we got seats the moment we arrived :p i promise to be punctual next time!!
we ordered 2 types of crab dish, salted egg plus sour and chilli. at RM30/kg, it's still one of the cheaper crab offers around. crab is very fresh, unfortunately, salted egg method didn't fare well as the taste did not penetrate, so you got to mix the meat around the sauce in order to get the taste, otherwise just eat the fresh meat as it is. there is a siong tong lala, the soup a little too much on the peppery side for me. lots of lala though. then, had our fresh vegetable kai lan, always have your greens, mom says :) all in all, it's a mediocre dinner plus not too expensive and priceless company.
the night continued onto a cosy setting with a jazzy liveband playing on the stage, we lounging on the wide space sofas chatting about the past, present and future. sipping on our choice of house wine and cocktails. aaaah....life should always be like this, no? we learn to appreciate these little gifts of life when it's sparingly enjoyed :)
sour and chili crab. sauce lives up to its name. dun forget to order the fried bun, goes well with the sauce. |
salted egg crab. dry style, it's good to have one each, with and without sauce. |
siong tong la la...do like the kei chi. |
